Buckeye Boat Club
The Buckeye Boat Club is a private club located on the east side of Hoover Reservoir. The Club was founded in 1954 to promote and facilitate the sport of boating, with safety, in harmony with other aquatic interests, and to promote and facilitate social and recreational activities for members of the Club, their families, and their guests.
The Club has a clubhouse with full kitchen that is used all four seasons. We have 101 dock slips for the use of our members owning a pontoon boat. We provide boat launching, storage, and removal for our members. We are governed by a Constitution and a set of By-Laws that are voted on by the membership of the Club. To guide and enforce these two documents we elect a group of responsible members, known as the Board of Directors.
Each membership is required to participate in a minimum of ten (10) hours of work service per year to help maintain the Club and grounds. Our club members have a variety of talents that help in this area and a sign-up list is used to help direct them.
We have a Social Committee that plan and organize social events throughout the year. The Social Committee plans events such as a 4th of July picnic and boat parade, a fish fry, a pig roast, game nights, holiday parties, boat cluster parties, and many more.
Come enjoy the Club as much as you can. It's a great place to enjoy the outdoors!
